Being married to Tyler is my favorite thing. I have never felt more loved, appreciated, and valued. The only time I have been sad in the last 3 months is when Tyler came home at midnight (it was a tragedy). haha Our marriage is for sure not perfect, but it is one full of love, and everyday, I love him more.
- Watch Baseball, even when you would rather do something else.
- Don't let the little things bug you. In the words of Tyler, "One day, we will have a vanity sink with two sinks. When that day comes you leaving the toothpaste open won't matter because you will have your own toothpaste. So I just won't let it bug me now." haha
- Communicate about everything.
- If you are engaged right now, have the hard conversations. I am so glad Tyler and I did that before.
- Get a cleaning system down. Tyler vacuums and does the laundry. On cleaning day, he helps organize everything and I dust, clean the kitchen, and clean the bathroom. It is actually the perfect system, because I hate doing laundry and he is way better at vacuuming. He hates cleaning a toilet and my mom made sure I was pretty good at dusting, so I would rather do that anyway.
- Do things with people. I know a lot of newly weds that just stick to themselves. You will be 10 times happier if you are social, make new friends, and keep old friends.
- Keep laughing. We laugh so much.
- Enjoy the phase you are in right now. You are only young with no children once.
- Budget, but don't let that stop you from doing fun things.
- Go to the temple. We were so bad at going for a while, but it makes the biggest difference.
- Keep learning :) We have so much more to learn.
I am sure I have more tips. I can't think of anymore right now. But! Here are some pictures from our weekend. :) I have been begging Tyler to go on a hike with me for the last 3 months, and we finally did. I would say, "Tyler, let's go on a hike before it snows." Somehow, something came up every time we were planning to, but I'm glad it took us a while. The reason being, we ended up inviting Sydney, Olivia, and Matt. They made it way more fun than just the two of us going. And guess what? It snowed. haha Also, Midici's Pizza is worth having. Pizza generally makes me super sick, but this one didn't. :)
