I could hardly sleep the night before we took our bridals with Whitney. I was so excited and nervous. I was excited for Tyler to see my dress, to see how the flowers would turn out, and get my makeup done with Julia Price.
We were taking our bridals at Butterfield Canyon and at the Oquirrh Mountain temple. If I could go back, I would have planned everything differently. I would have had Tyler pick up the flowers (I did and it took way longer than I thought it would), I would have only taken our pictures at the temple, and I would have had Julia come to me.
One of the best things about our wedding package was that we won a free makeup package with Julia. She is honestly SO talented and I felt so beautiful after she finished. I would recommend her to anyone. The reason I would have had Julia come to me though (or I would have gone an hour earlier), was because she lived in the middle of nowhere and we got stuck in the Salt Lake traffic going to take our bridals after we left her. But, I loved seeing her little home! She is honestly so cute! She lives in the most beautiful canyon, has a stream in front of her cottage home, and has the most adorable dog. She is so friendly and fun to talk to as well. Use her. You will not regret it.
Like I mentioned before, we got stuck in traffic on the way to the Canyon and we almost ran out of gas. haha It was honestly the most stressful situation. Perfect sunlight only last so long and I did not want to miss it. Whitney's daughter also threw up so she was running a little late too (which made me feel better because I was not the only one that was running behind... Sorry Whitney. haha). Luckily, I had McKenzie with me though because I would have been a mess if I was alone. We almost didn't make it up the mountain, but prayers work and the car didn't run out of gas.
I would have taken pictures only at the temple if I could go back, because in the end, we had less time in the canyon than we were planning for. Plus, I LOVED my temple pictures. It is funny that I am saying that, because I tried to convince Whitney to only do mountain pictures. But, she knew I would regret if I didn't get temple pictures that day because our sealing was later in the day. Of course, she was right. :) So learn from me! Plan better the day you are taking your bridals. You do not want to be stressed when taking your photos. Whitney did an amazing job of helping us feel comfortable though, and she saved the day by driving McKenzie and Gracyn down the mountain (Tyler was in a sketchy van, Gracyn was hungry, and we had no idea if Bradyn had made it down the mountain to get gas. haha)
Taking pictures at the temple made me so excited to marry Tyler there. Tyler had never really seen the Oquirrh Mountain temple before, and didn't realize how beautiful it was. I am in LOVE with our temple pictures. The lighting was perfect and Whitney is amazing. :)
But, my favorite part of the night was going to In-and-Out with Whitney. We were all starving and Whitney asked if we wanted to go take pictures there. It was so much fun and everyone stared at us. haha Apparently, I was "goals" that night. Everyone should take pictures in their wedding dress, eating a burger. haha
We loved our bridals with Whitney. Like I said, though, learn from me and plan everything out. You won't regret it. Here are some of our photos! Enjoy them :)
